Salut Rosalia Mera

A real lot can be said of a former shop assistant who made it to the Forbes' Lists and the Fortune 500 ranking. I envy Rosalia, but more than all we salute her for her persistence, industry, brilliance and business acumen, who did her business without much pomp and publicity - unlike so many we know who are out to grab the limelight even in the worst kind of disasters but are not effective in the kind of work that they really are meant to perform.

She was original and an activist, not peculiar to many who rose from the doldrums, and very unlike establishment types who copy ideas shamelessly from those who are struggling to be heard for the sake of worthwhile causes.

Causes, Rosalia had many. And she fought hard for them and spent for them. Unlike people who have access to wealth, who wallow in greed and never look back to those who suffer behind them; look to their left or right to those who cry out for a little love and aid; not even look forward, when up ahead one perceives with the sight of the lustful kind for just money and more money, sheer renown and more and more fame, disgusting, hateful objet de mépris that must be avoided at all cost.

The world ought to learn from those like Rosalia Mera. She will forever be more than an icon: to me she will be a poignant memory carved into my heart.

Des idees de mode tres pauvre

Shimson's Chronicles takes interest in the younger Napoles. See his article here. Shims pet peeve, no less is shown below:

Whooa!

That's the younger Napoles for you, she's called Jeane. Come to think of it, in fact her mother Janet is also called Jenny by those who have known her when she was still a struggling small time supplier and dirt poor. And they probably have the same tendency to big boobs and tummies.

The dress does not seem to me tout a fait approprié for a big tummied girl, don't you think? Notice how the stomach bulges, a big, big no in la mode.

Fashion is no good if you're just there for the showing off and not for the art and sense of it. That's why fashion designers are costumists, they make costumes, vetements dummy, dummy but they're not definitely simple minded gift wrappers of those often impossible bodies of the riche.

Now give me a Congressman, Senator or their spouses and children, specially cheri those who embraced Napoles with loving, warm affection. I have just the best design for them, a superb bespoke garment complete with a special necklace with guillotine modele. Hmm satisfait mon amour?

Air Line Fashion

The dress code among airline companies is vital to the success of civil aviation. Any airline without a magnifique costumerie is bound to fail, its airplanes to crash and its pilots and crew will all die. Hmmm, are you still with me?

Look at the color combi of the stewardess uniform below. Fantastic, oui? I would say, the color scheme is superlatively masculinesque! Even the lady's face looks tough, and despite the lighting the smile looks dangerous mon cheri! Hmmph! Better angle next time, mon amour.

hmmm... nice look

And what does this light, pastel uniform colors prove, hmm? Nothing. It's the service d' luxe that is tres important,

some_text

Now Chinese are fond of Red, rouge! Ummm... these ones really look good. Although moi is wondering if these ladies are on sit down strike! They have the best colored 2011 airline fashion, look like they're having fun but don't seem to be in their planes working!

some_text

This one likes to pose occasionellement! hmmm... perhaps ma chère, she is a célébrité in her own right, hmm? Magnifique!

Pastel Pastel Pastel!v Lavender is a Royale Coleur. But this airline fashion not much the Lavender scheme is tres important! There is little textile but more la peau -- see the tan all over, mon cheri? Skin! La peau très lisse, smooth skin.

You can only of course touch the Lavender design and feel it. Not the la peau, mind you!

some_text

Oh this one in a deeper blue is good. But I would like more to be under their shade. Wouldn't you mon cheri?

Red the coleur of life is supposed to make everyone gay, happy! Why are these ladies not all in the mood to smile? Hmmph!

some_text

You want to fly executive? Prepare to land in the lap of Nirvana. Incidentally, Nirvana has a sister. Her name is Shangri-la. Hmmm?

some_text

China has a lot of ready to wear airline fashion. Good one this, good subdued l'accent. Mind you. My eyes got tired looking at this design. They should make them bigger.

some_text

The Indians and Thais, Malays and Indons don't want to get beaten by China though.

some_text

This Western airline fashion design is free! Reminds me of Nui Aquine, President of Philippine! The yellow man in a yellow campaign shirt.

some_text

Again naturellement deep blue is airline business. But a shade of la peau in the chest is uhmmm, good to the eyes!

some_text

Hongkong has bad airline fashion taste! But it's not the design they're selling. It's the idol. I know her name and her telephone number. Text me at +639212261619, oui?

some_text

I told you so. But wait, this girls' picture was taken in Tokyo! Japan of course is also into the same thing.

Silver theme, what a coleur! I would not hesitate to use this in my own design if all my stewardesses will look like her.

some_text

Another minimal design, less textile, more peau.

Korea also likes to invent.

some_text

Here we are again for pastel coleur. Good, non?

some_text

Pastel tres chic, oui?

some_text

The designer forgot his design, he improvised. Or was it a she?
some_text

Now this one caused the earthquake in Japan when 10002 aircraft crashed after seeing her on online video from Japan's Air Traffic Control Tower. The crashes caused a tidal wave and a huge tremor magnitude 10 and destroyed the Fukushima Nuclear Plant. Horrible~~~~~

some_text

The Philippine fashion in airline is the worst. Look at this homme, he is posing to be on strike, in protest. And he is holding a torch. But protesting with a smiley smiley! Mon cheri, baad, baad.
some_text

Ma bonne vieille here is an airline worker? What kind of fashion is that to wear in a protest? Maybe she is just pretend. Quelle horreur!!!

some_text

Look at them with poverty shirt and pants! Who will believe their complaint?

some_text

Bad fashion altogether, and bad move Philippin. US, Europe, China, Japan, Korea, all good, my thumbs up!!!

Philippin bad airline fashion.

some_text

Do you take that to airline? Is that storming of the Bastille?

some_text

Fashion out of place, out of date. Bad taste, mon cheri,

Arrivederci, The Great Mila Schön!

I take time to reflect upon the demise of a great icon of Fashion who recently had gone to join the greater Maker, Creator and Designer. Fashion Designer At the age of 91, Mila Schön has finally left us! Farewell, Mila. Farewell. May your designs be as loved at the other side, as they were, here. Always.

On Mila Schön Wikipedia has this to say:

Mila Schön (1916 or 1917 – September 5, 2008) was a Habsburg Empire-born fashion designer, known for her simple, modern clothes structured along classical lines. She was the most famous designer who declared herself Yugoslavian.

Mila Schön was born as Maria Carmen Nutrizio, in Traù (now called Dalmatia), a part of the Habsburg Empire. Her birthplace later came to be known as Yugoslavia. Today, we now about it in her new name Croatia. Maria Carmen was offspring to very wealthy Italian aristocratic parents who relocated to the Italian peninsula when Schön was a child.

Schön initially gained her love of clothes from Balenciaga, of whom she was a customer for many years. She established her own fashion house in 1959. By 1965 her outfits were attracting a great deal of media attention, and she gained recognition for her stark and severely tailored clothes. The house of Mila Schön is now owned by the fashion group Mariella Burani, although Schön still personally supervised the designs of the house she founded.
Also, I ran across this article:
MILAN, Sep 24, 2008 /FW/ --- Mila Schön was a client of Dior and Balenciaga before she launched her own label in 1958. Over 4 decades later, the Milan Schon label continue to be a mainstay in the fashion world.

She debuted in Milan in 1965 with her haute couture collection, followed by invitations to show in Dallas and Houston by Neiman Marcus.

After that, the she gone from strength to strength, first with the expansion of her fashion house and the development of the "double face" fabric which her company introduced.

During the 1970s and 1980s, the Mila Schön label expanded to men's and women's ready-to-wear, and accessories.

Prestige and modern elegance are the hallmark of the Mila Schön label.

It's a sad day for the fashion industry to lose one not-so-young, but always bursting with fashion ideas! Mila will be remembered for her stylish, classic, prestigious designs.

Well heeled society women, in Italy and abroad, wore the Mila Schön creations according to LA Times and that included Jackie Kennedy and Marella Agnelli, the widow of Fiat auto patriarch Giovanni Agnelli. Mila Schön's smart suits and dresses, with careful attention to color and line, were popular choices for cocktail gatherings and garden parties.

The Mila Schön line includes a distinctive series of men's neckties with a solid color border around the whole necktie and a small stylized "M" near the bottom of the front.

Arrivederci, Signora Mila Schön! You will always be remembered.
